I'm a new owner of a 1959 90c model and a new member to this board. I'm starting to take my stove apart to give it a good cleaning. My question is, was the inside of the stove originally painted. If it was, what should I use to repaint it. Also should I paint the brackets that hold the burners?

I spray-painted my burner brackets with flat black Rustoleum High Heat paint (the kind you use on BBQ's.) They came out very nice.

Be careful what paint you use - it's got to be the High Heat stuff.
